fnatic secure WESG EU & CIS Finals spot

fnatic have booked their place at the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals after beating Japaleno 2-0 (16-6 on Mirage, 16-11 on Overpass).

The second semi-final of WESG Sweden 2017 saw fnatic lock horns with Japaleno, one day after the duo's hard-fought victories over Mikail "⁠Maikelele⁠" Bill's Kindest Regards and .Sweden, respectively, in the quarter-finals of the competition.

The battle for a place at the European & CIS finals began on Mirage, with fnatic securing a dominant 14-1 half-time lead as CT. In the second half, Japaleno finally found some breathing room as they won five rounds in a row, but it was just not enough as fnatic eventually closed out the map, 16-6.

In Barcelona, fnatic will represent Sweden alongside GODSENT

Even though Japaleno began Overpass with an early 3-1 lead as CTs, a nine-round streak put fnatic in the driving seat before their opponents bagged the final two rounds of the half. Japaleno did not want to throw in the towel and still hit double digits, but fnatic did not let a comeback happen, taking the map at 16-11.
